Description: Derek grew up in Cape Breton and is no longer mad at his parents for making him take piano since it made learning guitar a bit easier. He's the only member of Up All Night to have been there since the beginning back in 1993. He describes his style as "more athletic than musical, but not bad for a Cape Bretoner." Derek has been a reporter for CTV, a documentary director and now is the senior producer for CityNews in Toronto. He likes to have the odd cocktail.

Project Info: The objective behind this website was to create something fun and funky, but not too far out there mind you. It also had to be cost effective, Up All Night is (so far) just a bar band, afterall.
